Gap Year in Private Equity (m/f/d) – full-time

SHS is one the leading healthcare investors in Europe. Since its founding in 1993, SHS has been involved in growth companies in the fields of healthcare. Our investments are made both in young high-growth companies and in established medium-sized companies (Private Equity) with the clear goal of ‘Building European Healthcare Champions’.

Your tasks

• Generate and analyze our deal flow, qualify opportunities and assisting in negotiation of investments
• Help managing our investments, developing and growing their business, partially by buy-and-build, establishing a worldwide sales force and generating significantly higher revenues by actively collaborating with top management and founders of our portfolio companies as well as with other shareholders
• Support the interaction with our partners to coordinate exits of our investments, either via trade sales to strategic purchasers globally or via IPOs in Europe or the US, often facilitated by investment banks
• Support maintaining a network of private and institutional investors, consultants, M&A boutiques and industry experts to source and proactively identify potential investments
• Support our fundraising activities for upcoming fund generations and exit activities for current portfolio companies

Your background

• Relevant bachelor’s degree (healthcare related or business administration)
• Enthusiasm for innovations in healthcare and applicable business models
• Fluent in Englisch
• Personal skills
  o Smart and fast, curios, able to prioritize and execute quickly
  o Strong networker, outgoing personality, negotiation skills a plus
• Relevant internships related to the healthcare industry, preferably in PE, investment banking, business development, (strategy) consulting or similar is a plus
• International experience is a plus
