“MEIN HERZ LACHT“ – SUPPORT COMMUNITY FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
We are delighted to support the Stuttgart parents’ group of the organization “Mein Herz lacht” with our donation this year. This non-profit organization is dedicated to strengthening and supporting parents of children with disabilities.
As a self-help community, “Mein Herz lacht e.V.” has been driving real change for families with children with disabilities since 2019, through its committed team of parents who are personally affected. Their work empowers and relieves families, brings tangible improvements to everyday life, and helps create sustainably better living conditions despite challenging circumstances.
Through a diverse, systemically oriented range of services local and regional, in-person and digital, and across generations the organization fills the gaps where state support falls short. It creates safe spaces for exchange and community, where parents feel understood and supported. By fostering networking, education, and counselling, parents are empowered to help themselves and others. By providing both knowledge and practical as well as emotional support, the organization ensures that no parent feels left alone. In addition, it offers free access to expert knowledge and low-threshold legal and social counselling.
The organization actively advocates for a more inclusive society that recognizes, values, and supports families with children with disabilities. Its goal is to build a nationwide self-help community so that every family can experience equal opportunities and live a self-determined life.
For its exemplary and impactful concepts, “Mein Herz lacht” has received multiple awards in the fields of social entrepreneurship, self-help, and civic engagement. The organization works in a spirit of equality, partnership, and mutual respect toward a fairer society in which every family receives the support it deserves.
