Clowns on duty e.V.

A stay in hospital can be a decisive experience for a child and its parents. The trained clinic clowns of Clowns im Dienst e.V. bring relaxation to sick children in the clinics for children’s and youth medicine in Tübingen, Reutlingen, Schwäbisch Gmünd and the Filderklinik and promote the healing and recovery process. Before each clown visit there is a “handover” and the clowns ask the little patients at the room door whether they may come in. Respect and attentiveness towards the sick children and their relatives is the most important principle of our work. The clowns work closely with wards and the nursing staff.
Trained nursing home clowns also regularly visit residents suffering from dementia as well as people with disabilities in their respective living areas and wards at the Paul-Lechler-Klinik, Tübingen and in nursing homes in Reutlingen, Rottenburg, Eningen, Bernhausen and Schw. With sensitive individual attention, music, songs and shared laughter, they make everyday life in nursing homes and clinics easier.
