The Zollernalb-Tübingen Regional Group of Mukoviszidose e.V. is a self-help group consisting of 35 parents whose children suffer from cystic fibrosis. This incurable metabolic disease leads to a significant reduction in life expectancy. The cause of the disease is a gene mutation. Every 20th person in Germany carries the defective gene. Only if both parents pass on the altered gene to their child, the child has cystic fibrosis.

Ongoing daily treatment is a requirement for being able to live with cystic fibrosis. The association’s work is characterized by intensive support in various areas. This includes the support of the Cystic Fibrosis Outpatient Clinic at the Children’s Hospital in Tübingen, sharing experience gained, help with medical and therapeutic issues, support with social law applications and public relations work.

We are proud to be able to support the volunteer commitment of the members of Mukoviszidose e.V. In this way, we can contribute to ensuring that the association’s outstanding work can continue in the future.
