Hubertus Leonhardt joined SHS in 1997 as a managing director. He has been a partner since 1998. Prior to joining SHS, Hubertus Leonhardt worked as a project manager in the Corporate Finance department of the auditing and accounting firm Arthur Andersen GmbH & Co. KG in Frankfurt with a focus on M&A and due diligence. Following his studies in business administration at the University of Cooperative Education of Mannheim, Mr. Leonhardt joined the consulting firm Arthur Andersen. He subsequently took the tax advisory exam and has been listed as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 2000.
Uwe Steinbacher has been a partner at SHS since 2013 and managing director since 2015. He previously served as managing director and partner at Brockhaus Private Equity GmbH in Frankfurt and as an investment manager at TFG Venture Capital AG in Marl. He was also the founder and managing partner of three family-owned companies in the automotive services industry. Mr. Steinbacher holds a degree in economics from Witten/Herdecke University.
Reinhilde Spatscheck is one of SHS’s founding partners and has extensive experience in the areas of strategy, organization and controlling. Prior to founding SHS, Reinhilde Spatscheck worked for eight years as a consultant, and most recently as a senior project manager, for McKinsey & Co. Inc. Reinhilde Spatscheck received her degree in economics from the University of Freiburg and the London School of Economics.
Dr. Bernhard Schirmers
Dr. Bernhard Schirmers is one of SHS’s founding partners. His focus lies in the areas of strategy, organization, marketing and sales. Prior to founding SHS, Dr. Schirmers worked as a business consultant, and most recently as senior project manager, for McKinsey & Co. Inc. Prior to that, he worked as Executive Assistant and Head of the Executive Office at HDI in Hanover (now Talanx).After studying law at the Ruhr University in Bochum, Bernhard Schirmers worked as Assistant at the Ruhr University and at the University of Passau. While working as a legal intern in Bavaria, Dr. Schirmers received his doctorate in antitrust law.
Dr. André Zimmermann
Dr. André Zimmermann joined SHS in 2002 as Senior Investment Manager and became Partner in 2010. He previously worked as a research associate at the University of Freiburg and co-founded a biotech startup. He studied biology and then received his doctorate in molecular biology at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg. At the same time, he completed a 2-year degree in economics at the University of Hagen and is a trained banker.
Manfred Ulmer-Weber has been an investment manager at SHS since 2010 and has been a partner since 2019. He studied International Business Administration at the Eberhard-Karls-University, Tübingen and at the École de Management in Strasbourg.
Sascha Alilovic has been a Partner at SHS since 2018 and was previously a Senior Advisor. Prior to that, he was head of corporate finance & corporate development at MorphoSys AG and head of complex corporate transactions at Siemens and various corporate finance boutiques. Sascha Alilovic holds a degree in economics from EBS University of Economics and Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
Dr. Cornelius Maas
Senior Investment Manager with SHS since 2014. Studied International Management at Ansbach University, then MBA at Hamburg Distance Learning University. Doctorate on Innovation Management at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL) at the Chair of the Deutsche Bank Foundation Chair for Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship under Doctoral Supervisor Minister Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart (Acting Minister for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitisation and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia).
Senior Investment Manager with SHS since 2014, responsible for investment activities. Prior to that he managed the start-up and establishment of the Öberösterreichischer Hightechfonds for three years, he led the International Incubator of the Softwarepark Hagenberg and accompanied different Hightech-Startups. As a member of the management team of activ factoring AG in Munich as well as at a major regional bank, as consultant and Head of Finance of various companies he worked in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. Studies of Economic Sciences in Linz.
Patrick Frohnheiser joined SHS as Investment Manager in 2018. He studied business administration (major) and chemistry at Technical University Munich and Keio University, Tokyo. Prior to SHS, he gathered experience in various fields of finance, management consulting, and biotech.
David Wehner joined SHS in 2019 as Senior Investment Manager. Previously, he was responsible for setting up a new business unit in the life sciences sector at a recruiting company and was the founder and CEO of a biotech company. He holds a Diploma in Business Administration (TUM-BWL) and a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology from the Technical University of Munich. He is also a graduate of the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) in Munich.
Regine Hujer joined SHS in 2001 as managerial assistant. Before joining SHS, Ms. Hujer was an a commercial clerk with KSM Kolb Stahl und Metallhandelsges. mbH. She was trained as a businesswoman engaged in wholesale and export trades.
Daniela Falk joined SHS in 2019 as managerial assistant. Prior to that she worked as a Coordinator at a language school focusing on Business English. After her training in Hotel Management in Stuttgart she spent several years in the United Kingdom working as a Reception Manager.
Cornelia Gänsicke joined SHS in 2007 where she works as controller. Prior to this, she was Manager Accounts Receivables and Controller with Kodak in Stuttgart and the Eastman Kodak Company in London. She was a team manager for financial contract management with MTU in Munich and passed a traineeship with Deutsche Bank AG. Cornelia Gänsicke studied European Business Administration at the Middlesex University in London and at the Reutlingen University. She has been trained as an accountant.
René Wagner joined SHS in 2016 where he works as controller. Prior to that, he was a junior bank official with the Development Bank of Saxony (known as SAB from the German name Sächsische Aufbaubank – Förderbank –). He studied business administration at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg.
Since 2018 Heike Kittel works as an accounting clerk at SHS. Previously assistant in the tax consultancy and auditing department of a medium-sized tax consultancy and auditing firm. She studied accounting, taxes and business law at the DHBW Stuttgart.
